How long have you been in the city? Tell us a little about your journey.
I've lived in San Francisco since 2018. I grew up in the Bay Area and always wanted to live in the city, so when I had the chance to leave San Diego and make it work here, I took it — mainly for the career opportunities. A few weeks after moving, I landed a contract copywriting gig at an agency working with Google, and it stuck.
How many steps are you away from Tillage?
I live at Funston and Moraga, about 0.6 miles from Tillage — roughly 1,500 steps door to door.
What does a typical day or week look like for you, and how has Tillage become a part of that routine?
My days shift between personal projects, job searching, and hosting a monthly design meetup. I'm not big on rigid routines — I like spontaneity and variety — so Tillage works well for me as a way to get out of my apartment and be around people while I work.
What drew you to Tillage, and what have you enjoyed about being part of the community so far?
The proximity to my apartment was a big draw, and Tillage has become something like a second home office. What I've enjoyed most is the social side — running into friends, getting lunch with people, and having a reason to be around others during the day.
Where's your favorite spot at Tillage?
Definitely the computer room — I like having a proper monitor to work with.
What's your favorite Tillage Gathering?
The happy hours!
What's one local spot you couldn't live without?
Fiorella, in the Inner Sunset — it's one of my favorite pizza spots. I've spent a lot of time at the bar getting to know the bartenders, and it's become my go-to when I don't feel like cooking and want somewhere easy to grab dinner.
What's something you've spent your time and energy pouring into lately?
Over the last few months, I've been organizing a monthly Content Design meetup. The meetup aims to foster a sense of community and provide a space where we can all learn actively.
Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
Outside of work, I really enjoy hiking, cycling, and running. Not having a consistent 9-to-5 has had its stressful moments, but it's also been a real blessing — it's given me the flexibility to take on hiking and biking trips I wouldn't have been able to do with a full-time job.
